Inbound Collaborative Studio is a community learning, engagement and skill sharing project. Each member participates with these questions in mind; what do I want to learn? what can I teach? and what do I want to make?
My contribution to Inbound included the collaborative work, Flowing Relics made with Zoya Shevchenko, a workshop dedicated to my process for solar printing, and crafting a zine with contributions from all artists.

Flowing Relics

An art project that highlights defining moments of a friendship and its ties to Lake Michigan, fostering intentional connection.
Artists Zoya Shevchenko and Ally Shown combine respective skills in solar printing and sewing to create a bag and accompanying notebooks for the holding and exchanging of memories. The bag incorporates past memories through macro and micro photography and water-inspired designs, weaving the essence of Lake Michigan into its form. New memories are created through the exchange of two notebooks, connected by 3D-printed charms inspired by lake samples. Written experiences, messages, and keepsakes are transferred back and forth, encapsulating past, present, and future experiences.
